Washington, D.C. (June 23, 2020) 鈥� In the wake of the tragic killing of George Floyd and renewed calls for meaningful change and racial equality in America, 蜜桃视频app News has released a new podcast, 鈥�.鈥�
The podcast, hosted by longtime 蜜桃视频app National Security Correspondent JJ Green and former 蜜桃视频app contributor and creator of 鈥淐ore Values,鈥� Chris Core, aims to provide a frank discussion around race relations in the United States.
Each week, JJ and Chris 鈥� a black man and a white man who have known each other for 30 years 鈥� will engage in raw, real, honest and, sometimes, uncomfortable conversations about race. JJ and Chris will also invite guests to offer their knowledge and opinions on issues, and give listeners an opportunity to ask questions in a safe place.
鈥淭his is a pivotal moment in America鈥檚 history. We鈥檝e had them before but failed to fully address the festering problem of racism,鈥� said Green. 鈥淔rom my perspective, meaningful, respectful dialogue that leads to decisive, positive changes for all is the only way to do that. I鈥檓 hopeful 鈥楥olors鈥� will spur others to do that.鈥�
The podcast is a 鈥渞evival鈥� of a similar radio show the pair piloted in 1993 called 鈥淏lack and White.鈥� At the time, JJ and Chris were colleagues at WMAL Radio. Their show debuted in the aftermath of the savage beating of Rodney King by Los Angeles police officers.
鈥淚f JJ and I can light even a little candle of better understanding it will be worth the effort,鈥� said Core on the new show.
