Ƶapp News Announces New Afternoon Anchor

Washington, D.C. – June 26, 2023 – Ƶapp News today announced Anne Kramer as their new afternoon drive anchor alongside co-anchor Shawn Anderson. Anne Kramer and Shawn Anderson will now be gracing the airwaves together from 2-7 p.m., Monday through Friday, on Ƶapp.

Prior to joining Ƶapp 1.5 years ago, Anne Kramer worked as a full-time anchor/reporter at WBAL Radio in Baltimore for 25 years, including anchoring AM Drive at the station. While there, Anne was honored with a National Edward R. Murrow Award for her investigative reporting on Baltimore’s 911 system. Anne has also been the recipient of multiple Chesapeake AP Awards and has served on the CAPBA Board of Directors.

“I am excited to be a full-time member of this legendary news station,” said Kramer. “I am looking forward to working alongside Shawn Anderson, with his years of experience, as we give listeners the most up-to-date and accurate information they need to make informed decisions as they go about their day.”

Julia Ziegler, Ƶapp’s Director of News and Programming, shared her thoughts on Anne joining 25-year veteran Shawn Anderson.

“From the day Anne started at Ƶapp, I have loved her passion for storytelling. Anne puts our listeners first and is always thinking about how she can help them understand what is going on in their worlds,” said Ziegler. “Our listeners are in great hands with Shawn and Anne each afternoon.”
