Dream come true: Mystics advance to first WNBA Finals

WASHINGTON — The Washington Mystics beat the Atlanta Dream 86-81 to win their semifinal series 3-2, and advance to their first berth in the WNBA Finals.

Ariel Atkins scored a game-high 20 points and Kristi Toliver added 19 for the Mystics, who entered Tuesday as the only of the league’s 12 current franchises without a Finals appearance.

All-Star Elena Delle Donne added 14 and 11 rebounds, becoming only the second player in WNBA history to open a postseason with five straight double-doubles.
