PHOTOS: Caps win their 1st Stanley Cup

WASHINGTON — Aaaaand the Washington Capitals win their first-ever Stanley Cup title after a harrowing Game 5 matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Caps cinched the Cup 4-games-to-1, beating the Golden Knights 4-3 in Game 5 on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Caps fans and D.C. sports fans alike reveled in Washington’s first major sports championship win in years. Here’s how celebrations went down.

The Washington Capitals raised the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history after a 4-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5. Fans took to the streets in celebration — see some highlights.
