When monkeys attack, a teachable moment

WASHINGTON — In this second installment of “don’t mock the animals,” a teenager appears to flip a monkey the bird, only to get a monkey on his back in return.

This video courtesy of shows a boy in Shimla, India, passing by a monkey perched on a shop stand on the street. While it’s not clear what started it, the teen stops, looks over at the monkey just a few feet away, and shoots the animal the middle finger. The primate takes this on board, and then leaps, knocking the boy flat to the ground.

Last week, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵapp.com reported how after children “aped” him, thumping their chests and making monkey sounds.
