Erling Haaland leads Norway past Brazil and into World Cup quarterfinals, in photos

Erling Haaland scored two goals to lead Norway past Brazil 2-1 and into the World Cup quarterfinals. The star striker found the net in the 79th minute and again in the 90th in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday to reach seven goals for the tournament, matching Lionel Messi of Argentina and Kylian Mbappé of France atop the scoring list.

Later Sunday, co-host Mexico hopes to reach the quarterfinals by beating England at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. England will rely on Harry Kane to nullify the disadvantage of playing at altitude in a stadium where Mexico has never lost a World Cup match.
