Police have shared the identities of the three people who died in a multi-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County, Maryland, late Tuesday night.
A vehicle trying to make a left turn struck a motorcycle and another vehicle, killing the 22-year-old motorcyclist and both people inside of the striking vehicle, according to an from Prince George’s County police.
The motorcycle’s driver was Elvin Martinez Hernandez, of Hyattsville. The driver and passenger of the vehicle attempting the turn were 61-year-old Reddick Speight and 62-year-old Terri Stringfellow, both of Adelphi.
Two other people, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Those people were inside the other vehicle that was hit.
The crash happened near New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road around 11:30 p.m., according to
Investigators believe that the motorcycle and another vehicle were driving northbound on New Hampshire Avenue approaching Metzerott Road when a Speight’s vehicle allegedly collided with them while trying to turn onto Metzerott Road.
The ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµapp Traffic Center reported Wednesday that New Hampshire Avenue on both directions between Piney Branch Road and North Hampton Drive reopened shortly before 6 a.m.
