WASHINGTON 鈥� Boxer Floyd Mayweather reportedly made $112 million for fighting Manny Pacquiao earlier this month, but he had to work for it. Last weekend, he didn鈥檛 make nearly as much, but he still had a hefty payday 鈥� without risking getting punched in the process.
Mayweather won nearly half a million dollars from the comfort of his home or somewhere like it by placing a variety of bets on the weekend鈥檚 sporting events, reports.
The champ bet that the Houston Rockets would beat the money line, and that the Atlanta Hawks would beat the second-half point spread against the Wizards, in Game 6 of their respective NBA playoff series; that the Los Angeles Clippers would beat the second-half spread against the Rockets in Game 7; and that boxer Gennady Golovkin would knock out William Monroe Jr. by the end of the sixth round.
Mayweather gambled a total of $350,000 on the four bets, hit them all, walked away with nearly $850,000, and made sure everyone on Instagram knew about it.
