L.A. Clippers owner faces criticism for racist comments

WASHINGTON – Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is in hot water today, after reportedly telling his girlfriend that he does not want her to bring black people to games, .

Sterling is dating V. Stiviano, a model and self-proclaimed artist, stylist and philanthropist. She had posted a photo of herself to the photo sharing social network Instagram with Magic Johnson at a Los Angeles Clippers game earlier this month.

Unfortunately, this may not be Sterling’s first incident of racist behavior. In 2003, he was , Sports Illustrated reports.

Players met last night to discuss Sterling’s comments, and the players are reportedly quite angry, according to tweets from a Los Angeles Daily News sports columnist.

Sterling has not responded to the allegations.

However, Earvin Magic Johnson, tweeted that he “will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.”
