1 dead in D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON – Police are investigating a shooting death in the District early Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police Department says in a statement that they were called to the 200 block of Bates Street Northwest a few minutes after midnight Saturday morning when someone reported a shooting.

They found Lamont William Hall, 32, who was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound on the scene.

No suspect has been identified. The police say that anyone with information should call them at 202 727-9099. If you want to remain anonymous, you can send a text to 50411.

A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
