WASHINGTON – It’s almost back-to-school time. Some students head back on Monday, others head back in September.

Here when area students hit the books:

MARYLAND

• Prince George’s County Public Schools
  School starts on Monday, Aug. 20 for all students.
• Calvert County Public Schools
  School Starts on Tuesday, Aug. 21 for all students.
• St. Mary’s County Public Schools
  School starts on Wednesday, Aug. 22 for all students.
• Montgomery County Public Schools
  School starts on Monday, Aug. 27 for all students.
• Frederick County Public Schools
  School starts on Monday, Aug. 27 for all students.
• Howard County Public Schools
  School starts on Monday, Aug. 27 for all students.
• Anne Arundel County Public Schools
  School Starts on Monday, Aug. 27 for grades 1-5 and 6 and 9 only. School starts for grades 1-12 on Tuesday Aug. 28.
• Charles County Public Schools
  School starts on Monday, Aug. 27 for all students.

VIRGINIA

• School starts Monday, Aug. 20 for all students.
