WASHINGTON – Veterans who have served since Sept. 11 have had a tough time finding a job. But their unemployment numbers are improving, thanks in part to events like the one going on Saturday in Bethesda.
Twenty-nine companies are at Naval Support Activity Bethesda, which is home to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The employers, which include JPMorgan chase, Verizon, AT&T, Delta, and Lockheed Martin, are promising jobs ranging from entry level to management, and information about free programs available to job-seekers.
