WASHINGTON 鈥� A College of Charleston student and fraternity member from Rockville, Maryland, has been charged with the sexual exploitation of a minor after a 17-year-old said she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus party last聽month.
Police in Charleston, South Carolina, arrested Timothy Eli Seppi, 21, on Sept. 2 after they found a photo of the teen “engaged in an act or simulation of sexual activity” on his phone, according to the police affidavit.
The girl聽was also a student at the College of Charleston, and said聽she was assaulted by two men.
Three days after the alleged assault was reported to police, the college’s president suspended all alcohol-related activities at sorority and fraternity functions and the campus chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi 鈥� where Seppi was a fraternity brother 鈥� was shut down, .
Seppi also faces drug charges. Police said they found cocaine in his off-campus apartment, the newspaper reported.
