Powerful storms leave hundreds without power

WASHINGTON – Storms that rolled through the D.C. area Tuesday night left hundreds without electricity.

Many remained without power Wednesday afternoon.

As of 4 p.m. Wednesday,  about 400 customers  were in the dark in the District and another 50 outages in Montgomery County, down from as many as 6,000 customers who were in the dark at 7 a.m.
