WASHINGTON — It鈥檚 Christmas Eve and some people don鈥檛 have any Christmas shopping done, but they don鈥檛 seemed to be stressing out.
Take Zoel and Zuri Stackhouse, for instance.
They were headed into Springfield Town Center. The two were there to do their last-minute shopping.
鈥淚鈥檝e bought no Christmas presents at all,鈥 Zuri Stackhouse said with a laugh.
Her sister Zoel, who lives in Woodbridge, said she hasn鈥檛 done any shopping yet either.
Apparently, it鈥檚 a family thing: They say they don鈥檛 think their parents have bought anything yet either.
Zuri Stackhouse does have a bit of an excuse. 鈥淚 just got off a flight from Atlanta,鈥 she said. 聽
But the two are not worried.
鈥淚t鈥檚 all good, we鈥檒l figure this out,鈥 Zoel Stackhouse said.
Henry Proano, of Alexandria, said the crowds have kept him away: 鈥淭he past few nights have been packed, so I haven鈥檛 been able to purchase everything I wanted.鈥
He figured he can knock out his shopping at the Springfield Town Center in about an hour and then get to spend time with the family.
Charlene Mickles, from Southeast Washington, said she finished her shopping, but was back helping her daughters finish up their Christmas shopping. 聽
鈥淧ainless, very painless on Christmas Eve,鈥 she said. 鈥淏elieve it or not, there is a Christmas miracle on Christmas Eve.鈥
