WASHINGTON — A downtown D.C. building caught fire Tuesday morning.
D.C. Fire and EMS says it responded a bit before 11 a.m. to a building in the 1700 block of M Street in Northwest. They put it out by about noon.
No injuries have been reported.
The D.C. fire department said via Twitter that the fire was contained to a mechanical unit on the ceiling of the building, which was being demolished.
M Street was closed between 16th Street and Connecticut Avenue until about noon.
